Just got back from a short vacation with our local wine buddies to Sonoma California. Had a fantastic time barrel tasting during an annual event that Val and I will have to adopt. Many thanks to Mike (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!), Cindy, and Denise for momma-ducking Jim/Janet/Val/& I through some of the most beautiful country we’ve ever seen. You made us feel like real insiders instead of touristy dweebage! I’m uploading pics now under “wine“, duh. Here’s a brief report-out for now:

Thursday afternoon- Cline, Larson, Schug.
Friday- Martinelli, Swan, J, Acorn, Rodney Strong, Meitz, Limerick Lane, Christopher Creek, Lambert Bridge, Armida.
Saturday- Siduri, Rosenblum, Robert Young, White Oak, Ridge, Mazzocco, Papapietro, Wilson.
Sunday- Hook & Ladder, DeLoach, Martin Ray, Brogan, Woodenhead, Sebastopol.

Monday- 13 hour drive home with a trunk full of great wine.
