Thanks alot for the templete!!! Go Packers
Mike, I am new to this and am having a dinner party tomorrow night and the people want to bet early as some will be out of town on the day or at other parties. I do not understand how this works. Can you explain a little to me? Do the people put their names in one square on the left and guess the scores and who comes closest wins? Do I need 100 people to bet? What are the 0-9 # to be put in the hat for? Help, I am a grandmother and want to be hip about this before I do it.. Thanks..:)
Hi Judy, Here’s how it works: Most people play for a pot of money, for example each square is sold for a dollar or 25 cents or whatever price you decide. Those who buy squares write their initials into the squares they choose, and they can buy as few or as many squares as you allow per person, until the board is filled. The entire board must be filled! Then after all the squares are spoken for – blindly choose the numbers for each row and column from the 0-9 numbers that you’ve cut out and placed into a hat or something. This way people can’t pick their scores, it’s by chance. Pick numbers for the row, then pick again for the column. You could divide the pot to pay out at the end of each quarter so that you have 4 happy winners, or you could pay at halftime and final score (2 happy winners), or have the whole pot paid on the final score. Of course you could play for prizes (a bottle of good wine!) instead of money. Oh, the person who’s initials are in the square matching the last digits of the score wins.
Hope this helps, and hope I didn’t forget anything. Have fun!
Thank you for posting, we will use your template next weekend, very nice, I just hope it was virus free!
